Foreign Employment Office, Kathmandu has informed that it was launching an online service for labor permits from Friday.
Now, anyone going to foreign employment can take the permit service online. The Office had however begun the institutional level labor permit a month back.
Similarly, the re-permit for labor was begun last January. The change in service delivery has largely reduced the crowds of service seekers.
Office chief Ramesh Aryal informed that the labor permit service had gone online as per ministry directive so that it would be easy and convenient for both service providers and recipients.
A total of 167,000 persons were provided labor permits last fiscal year while more than half a million people have got the permits in 10 months of the current fiscal year.
