Kathmandu, June 20: Lawmakers attending a special hour of today’s meeting of the House of Representatives have expressed their views on various current issues. Putting his view in the meeting, Rambabu Kumar Yadav demanded a prompt operation of long-closed Birgunj Sugar Factory. Hundreds of workers have been robbed of their job, and sugar farmers have been affected as a result, he said.
Likewise, Ganga Chaudhary accused the government of snatching the rights of working-class people by withdrawing the Guthi Bill. Shashi Shrestha demanded fast-paced development work, while Dila Sangraula called for an end to corruption. Raj Kishor Yadav accused the government of failing to ensure good governance.
Sanjaya Kumar Gautam, Hit Bahadur Gurung and Sarita Kumari Giri drew the attention of the government to ensure the rights of poor people, Dalits, indigenous and backward communities.
