Kathmandu, December 3 : Laxmi Bank has signed two separate agreements with Tribeni and Banphikot rural municipalities of the Western Rukum district with an aim to extend subsidized loans in the agriculture sector.
Such loans will be floated to various farmers’ groups, entrepreneurs, firms/companies and cooperatives related to the sector by cooperating with these municipalities.
Mr Dipesh Amatya, Chief- Retail Financial Services of the bank signed the agreements with Chairperson of Banphikot Rural Municipality Mr. Dharma Bahadur K.C. and Chairman of Tribeni Rural Municipality Mr. Jhakku Prasad Gharti Magar. Mr. Ajaya Bikram Shah, CEO of Laxmi Bank Limited claims that the bank is dedicated in effectively funding the agriculture sector of the country by establishing a separate wing to deal with it.
