Kathmandu, September 16 : The government has decided to resume the long-haul bus services and domestic flights starting Thursday by adopting the necessary safety measures.
A cabinet meeting held on Monday (September 15) made a decision to this effect, said Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradip Kumar Gyawali, who is also the spokesperson of the government. According to him, there will be a 50 percent hike in the ticket price of the bus but the airfare will remain the same.
Likewise, the meeting also made a decision to allow the hotels and restaurants to resume their businesses starting from tomorrow. They are also required to abide by the health safety guidelines while serving their customers.
Not only the long-haul bus services and domestic flights but also the hotels and restaurents have remained closed since the government first enforced lockdown on March 24 to stem possible spread of the COVID-19.
