Darchula, April 4 : Darchula’s Mahakali municipality is to be developed as an educational city. The municipality has started consultations with different stakeholders of education as part of its preparation to develop educational city from coming academic year. Having completed its consultation in its all nine wards, it is holding discussions with the people associated to education in the district. The municipality has floated the idea in line with its educational strategic plan. Municipality mayor Hamsharaj Bhatta said the consultations are being made to discuss the ways how the municipality can present its distinct identity through education. “We have a dream to make the municipality a hub for education as part of its three-year strategic plan”, he added. “The plan for educational reform would be put in place through upcoming budget”.
