Kathmandu, September 24 : Media entrepreneurs have become organised with an objective of resolving various problems seen in the media sector. They announced the establishment of ‘Media Alliance Nepal’ by holding a press meet yesterday in the capital.
The nine-member ad-hoc committee of the organisation was also formed under chairmanship of Bhashkar Raj Rajkarnikar, Chairperson of Avenues Television. Chairperson of Rajdhani News Publication Pvt Ltd, Mahendra Sherchan, and Chairperson of Mountain Television, Raju Kandel, are ots vice-chairpersons.
Similarly, Chief Executive Officer of Image Channel Pvt Ltd, Laxman Humagain, Chief Executive officer of Impression Publication and Media Pvt Ltd, Ujjawal Sharma, have been nominated as general-secretary and treasurer of the ad-hoc committee.
Likewise, Chairperson of Janata Publication and Broadcasting Ltd, Dr Bijay Poudel, Chairperson of Prime Television Rishi Dhamala, Chief Executive Officer of AP1 Television Rajendra Shakya and Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Republic Media Pvt Ltd, Samriddhi Gyawali, are the members.
