Kathmandu, April 4 : The Mega Bank Nepal Limited as announced a financial assistance of Rs 13.5 million to the relief funds set up by the federal and the state governments for the prevention and control of COVID-19.
“We will provide Rs 10 million to the relief fund set up by the federal government and Rs 350 thousand to the the same funds set up by the the seven states,” says Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Anupama Khunjeli. According to her, the organisation was contributing monetary assistance as part of its corporate social responsibility.
She said its more than 1,200 employees as well as the members of the board of the would also contribute additional funds from their respective sides.
Meanwhile, the Informal Sector Services Centre (INSEC) has decided to provide one million four thousand fifty four rupees to the Coronavirus Prevention, Control and Treatment Relief Fund set up by the federal government. This amount is collected from the seven days’ salary of INSEC’s full-time employees, the representatives in the 77 districts and the employees working in its various projects, INSEC stated in a press release.
