Releasing the Report at a program held in the capital on Thursday (March 12), Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Rameshwor Raya Yadav, said that it would play a vital role in term of helping the government materialize the ambition of ‘Prosperous Nepal: Happy Nepali.’

The recommendations furnished by the Report are useful to ensure good governance in the migration sector. It outlines the efforts Nepal made on national, bilateral, regional and global levels to bring reform in migration. It has prioritized the evidence-based policymaking by assessing Nepal’s labor migration.

Speaking during the program, Ministry Secretary Binod KC said the Report has incorporated the issues on the creation of employment. He further mentioned that the very document also explicitly points out the dearth of good governance in labor migration.
