Minister for Water Supply, Pradeep Yadav, has instructed relevant authorities to expedite the completion of pipeline installations for distributing water from the Melamchi River to various locations in the Kathmandu Valley. His directives followed an inspection of pipeline work at Indrachowk, Janabahal, New Road, Ason, and other areas.
During his visit, Minister Yadav emphasized the urgency of addressing water leakage issues and ensuring the quality of work. He instructed officials to focus on repair and maintenance at leakage-prone areas to prevent further wastage.
Accompanying the Minister were Ministry Secretary Pramila Devi Shakya Bajracharya and senior officials from the Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) and the Project Implementation Directorate. This collaborative effort aligns with ongoing projects to enhance water distribution as the Melamchi Water Supply Project progresses.
