Kathmandu, November 22 : Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barshaman Pun has inaugurated the constructions works on Trishuli 3B Hub Substation.
The substation is meant for evacuating power generated by different hydropower projects on Trishuli River Corridor in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts. According to media reports, the electricity produced by projects in both the districts will be connected to this hub of 220 kVA capacity.
The Rs 8 billion project is expected to be completed by mid-July next year.
For the project, the European Investment Bank is investing 30 million euros, German Development Bank (KfW)14 million euros, European Union 2.25 million euros and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) 19 million euros.
There are plans to connect electricity supplied through Chilime Trishuli Transmission Line 3B Hub and Samudratar Trishuli 3B Hub to this substation.
A transmission line of 40 kilometer connects Trishuli 3B Hub Substation with the Matatirtha Substation in Kathmandu to supply power generated in the Trishuli Corridor to the capital city.
