Kathmandu, March 6 : The government has decided to extend the nationwide lockdown period until midnight April 15.
A cabinet meeting held today came up with such decision so as to combat the spread of COVID-19. This the second time the government extended the lockdown. It had first imposed the week-long lockdown from March 24 . Due to the rise in coronavirus cases, the government on March 29 had to extend the nationwide lockdown by another week i.e until April 7.
So far, nine people have tested positive for coronavirus in the country. Of them, 1 had recovered and other eight continue to receive medical treatment
