NC for economic growth based on equality

Kathmandu, December 6 : The main opposition Nepali Congress will accelerate ways to implement the policy to achieve economic growth based on equality as envisioned by NC founder leader B.P. Koirala, according to the NC’s economic policy presented here on Wednesday.
The NC’s economic policy presented at the NC’s working committee meeting by Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, NC’s Co General Secretary and coordinator of the NC’s economic policy proposal committee has focused on the sustainable and broad economic growth based on high productivity. The NC’s policy was made public at a press conference.
Likewise, the policy has ensured social security through various social insurance programmes and the implementation of the concept of ‘quality health and education for all’.
There will be policy reforms in making Nepal middle-income country through sustainable development and making the coming decade the national awakening decade, according to the economic policy.
“The NC has accorded high priority to welfare state, entrepreneurship focusing on youths, proper financial federalism and economic governance,” said leader Mahat.
The economic policy proposal committee’s members are NP Saud, Chitralekha Yadav, Min Bishwokarma, Dhanraj Gurung, Gobinda Bhattarai, Gururaj Ghimire, Jiban Bahadur Shahi and Shiva Prasad Humagain.
Meanwhile, discussions are underway on the NC’s statute draft in the ongoing central committee meeting.
