Kathmandu, October 29: Nepal has recorded 1,954 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday (October 28), according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Among the newly detected cases, 843 were from the Kathmandu valley alone.
So far, the total number of people contracting the disease in the country has jumped to 162,354, including 121,824 recoveries and 887 fatalities.
Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery rate currently stands at 75.03 percent, with 2,981 more recoveries recorded yesterday alone.
The country saw 11 more deaths linked with COVID-19 in the last one day. With this, the country’s coronavirus-related death toll has soared to 887.
Nepal had first reported COVID-19-related death on May 16.
