Kathmandu, September 15 : The country has recorded 1,170 new cases of coronavirus on Monday, thus taking the total tally to 55,329.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, of the newly infected people, 512 are from the Kathmandu valley alone.
Yesterday, 879 individuals suffering the disease got discharged from the hospitals. With this, the total number of such people in the country has reached 39,576. Likewise, 15 people succumbed to the virus, taking the total tally of fatalities in the country to 360, the Ministry said..
Currently, the number of active COVID-19 cases stands at 15,393. Similarly, a total of 8,118 people are in institutional isolation and 7,275 others in home isolation facilities. Likewise, 6,892 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.
