Nepal Telecom expands services to remote areas

Kathmandu, August 22: Nepal Telecom has erected four additional BTS towers in a far-flung area of Sankhuwasabha. With the installation of towers, people from remote and inaccessible areas have found no bound of happiness. Access to mobile service has become easier for locals of geographically backward areas.

In keeping with the problem being faced by remote area people, the Telecom has expanded services to four additional areas, shared Telecom Chief Radharaman Bhattarai. According to the Nepal Telecom sources, the towers have been installed in Makalu rural municipality-5, Arun Third Damside Faksinda, Chichila rural municipality-2, Imchung, Madi municipality, Mawadin and Khandbari-3, Manebhanjyang.

Locals had called for the expansion of telecom services when the mobile phone was not operational due to poor connectivity.

Likewise, the Telecom is also making its final preparation to install additional towers in Sanjhpokhari and Swachi of Sabhapokhari rural municipality, shared the Telecom sources. The Khandbari-based Telecom Branch has been delivering service from different 17 points of Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur. RSS
