Nepal has lagged behind many other countries across the world in major 13 global indices.
Out of 193 countries, Nepal is seen to be trailing behind many countries in 13 major indices, according to the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI).
According to the data provided by the FNCCI during an economic discourse organized in the capital on Thursday, out of 39 countries, Nepal is ranked the 101st in democratic index, 108th in market competitiveness index, 110th in corruption perception index, 159th in per capita income index.
Similarly, Nepal is ranked 143rd in human development index, 186th in passport status index, 139th in governance index, 111th position in innovation index and 94th position in business index.
Likewise, Nepal is ranked 95th in quality of life index, 110th in prosperity index, 49th in population size index and 93rd in geographical area index.
