Kathmandu, June 24: The number of coronavirus cases in Nepal has hit 10,099 with the detection of 538 new such cases on Tuesday (June 23), according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Among the newly infected, 50 are from Pyuthan, 48 from Palpa, 29 from Dhanusha, 38 from Kailali, 29 from Gorkha, 23 from Surkhet, and 22 each from Saptari, Bajhang, Nawalparasi (East), Syangja, Parbat and Dailekh.
Similarly, 20 individuals from Bajura, 19 from Dang, 18 from Dhading, 17 from Kanchanpur, 14 from Baglung, 13 from Rautahat, 12 each from Jhapa and Mahottari also tested positive for the virus.
Similarly, Nepal’s Covid-19 death toll has risen to 24 after a 45-year-old man from Dailekh died of the disease on Monday (June 22).
According to the ministry, the virus has been found in 76 districts till date with Rasuwa in Bagmati province the only district without any case.
