Nepse goes down by 45 points

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index went down by 45.42 points to close at 2.060.73 points on Tuesday.

The market opened for trading at 2,109.79 points. The benchmark index Nepse started moving down journey from the very beginning of trading and eventually closed 2.16% lower. 

All the trading groups ended the day in red with the maximum loss coming from the Others sub-index which was down by 4.84%. Finance, Development Bank and Trading groups also went down by 3.37%, 3.28% and 3.18%, respectively.

Citizen Investment Trust was the most traded stock of the day as shares worth Rs 151.09 million were traded in the bourse on Tuesday. Next on the list were Shivam Cement and Himalayan Distillery Ltd with turnovers of Rs 130.87 million and Rs 107.85 million, respectively.

A total of 6.64 million units of 222 scrips worth Rs 2.81 billion were traded in the bourse on the day through 46,289 transactions. Total market capitalization, the total worth of shares listed in the secondary market, was recorded at Rs 2.95 trillion.
