The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Employees Union has demanded the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with knowledge of the capital market.
The union issued a press release stating that the tenure of the current CEO is about to end, and it is now urging the appointment of a new CEO who has knowledge of the capital market.
The union has requested the Ministry of Finance to select a person with expertise, skills, and professional capacity in the capital market, who is also ethically sound and committed to the development of the capital market, protection of investors’ interests, and capable of carrying out NEPSE’s restructuring work.
The tenure of the current CEO, Krishna Bahadur Karki, will end on Magh 25. Karki, who was appointed during the tenure of former Minister Janardan Sharma, had a three-year term which was agreed upon with the Ministry of Finance.
