The NEPSE index declined on Thursday, the last trading day of the week. After showing slight growth over the past two days, NEPSE fell again by 7.26 points, closing at 2,678.47 points.
The Sensitive Index also dropped by 0.52 points, while the Float Index and Sensitive Float Index declined by 0.47 and 0.20 points, respectively.
There was also a decline in transaction volume on Thursday. While the previous day’s transactions amounted to NPR 8.71 billion, Thursday’s transactions totaled only NPR 7.92 billion. A total of 158.75 million shares were traded in 78,835 transactions involving 302 stocks.
Shares of four companies hit the positive circuit level. These companies included Kumari Sabaal Yojana, Matribhumi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, Guardian Micro Life Insurance, and Pokhara Finance.
The share price of Barahi Hydropower Public increased by more than 6.5%, while Nyadi Hydropower’s share price fell by NPR 86.80 to NPR 781.20, reaching the negative circuit level.
In terms of transaction volume, NRN Infrastructure & Development continued to lead on Thursday, with shares worth NPR 341.4 million traded.
Similarly, CEDB Holdings recorded transactions worth around NPR 270 million, while Radhi Vidyut Company saw transactions exceeding NPR 200 million.
Among the 13 sub-indices, 3 showed an increase, while 10 declined. The Finance sub-index saw the highest growth, rising by 1.88%. The Investment and Microfinance sub-indices showed slight gains.
However, the indices for Development Banks and Hydropower declined by nearly 1%.
