The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased. On Tuesday, the NEPSE rose by 24.50 points, reaching a level of 2,657.77.
Today, a total of 10,968,195 shares from 325 companies were traded 95,097 times, amounting to a total transaction value of NPR 9.40 billion (940 crore, 26 lakh, 78 thousand, and 33).
All sector sub-indices showed positive growth today. The Development Bank sector saw the highest increase, rising by 4.07%. Other sectors also showed growth: Banking increased by 0.22%, Finance by 1.88%, Hotels and Tourism by 0.68%, Hydropower by 1.49%, and Investment by 1%.
Life Insurance saw a rise of 0.08%, Manufacturing and Processing by 1.23%, Microfinance by 0.48%, Mutual Funds by 0.12%, Non-Life Insurance by 0.28%, Trade by 0.24%, and Other sectors by 1.74%.
Four companies saw a positive circuit breaker on their stock prices. The shares of Upakar Microfinance Financial Institution Limited, Sikles Hydropower Limited, Threestar Hydropower Limited, and Janaki Finance Company Limited each increased by 10%. The largest decrease was observed in the stock price of Dolti Power Company Limited, which dropped by 8.43%.
In terms of transaction value, the highest turnover was recorded by Sapta Koshi Development Bank Limited, with shares worth NPR 382,132,187 being bought and sold.
In terms of the number of shares traded, the highest volume was seen in NIC Asia Growth Fund-2, with 100,303 shares being traded.
