On Tuesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 25.88 points, closing at 2,665.81. The market opened at 2,639.92 points and quickly gained 30 points within the first 21 minutes. After fluctuating, it dipped to a low of 2,633.2 points in the next two hours but then rebounded, adding around 32 points before the close.
The sensitive index, which tracks ‘A’ class companies, also saw an increase of 4.47 points. Daily turnover decreased to Rs 4.17 billion, down from Rs 5.90 billion on Monday.
Out of the stocks traded, 200 companies recorded gains, while 39 faced losses. All 13 trading groups experienced gains, with the manufacturing and processing sector seeing the largest increase of 148.19 points.
Goodwill Finance Limited led the turnover with shares worth Rs 173.24 million. Rawa Energy Development Limited emerged as the biggest gainer, climbing 8.86%, while Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top loser, down 4.75% in market value.
