NOC has started the process of establishing a refueling station at these airports by taking into account the flight pressure and requirements.

Umesh Prasad Thani, executive director of NOC, said that necessary homework is being done to provide aviation fuel service at Bharatpur Airport and Jumla Airport. “We have prepared to establish a refueling station at these airports soon,” said Thani, “We have reached such a decision for the convenience of the aircraft.”

At present, airlines operating to Bharatpur and Jumla airports are forced to take the required fuel from the airport of departure. Planes flying to Bharatpur have to take fuel from Kathmandu and planes flying from Nepalgunj to Jumla have to take fuel from Nepalgunj. Airlines will get rid of this problem after the operation of refueling service.

NOC established a refueling station to provide aviation fuel at Simra Airport in Bara only on Sunday.
