April 25 : In order to reinforce the government in controlling and preventing the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, Palpa Cement Industry Pvt Ltd, has recently taken three different steps.
First, it conducted the activity of spraying pesticide at the Ward no. 7 of the Sunwal Municipality in the Nawalparasi district. The anti-bacterial pesticide was sprayed in the areas having the sewage and other waste materials.
Second, it donated Rs. 211,111 to the said Municipality for depositing in the Natural Disaster Relief Special Fund in order to help prevent the deadly disease of COVID-19. The very amount was handed over by PR Manager Mr. Jeevan Prakash Niraula and other officials of the company to the municipal chief Mr. Bhim Bahadur Thapa, Chairperson of Ward No.3 Karna Bahadur Sen and Chaiperson of Ward No. 5 Mr. Thaman Singh Nepali.
Third, Palpa Cement Industry contributed Rs. 401,000 to the Coronavirus Relied Fund established by the Mathagadi Village Municipality in the Palpa district.
The company, which produces the Tansen brand of cement, took such steps as part of its corporate social responsibility.
