Hetauda, January 22 : The much-hyped nationwide Prime Minister Employment Programmme is going to kickstart from Province No. 3, according to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security of the province.
The government has allocated Rs 3.10 billion in fund for the programme in the current fiscal year. The Ministry said that the programme would come into effect as per the government’s announcement in the policy and programmes.
Plans are afoot to bring the programme into implementation to avoid the circumstances of foreign employment for Nepalis except obligations, ministry’s joint secretary Mahesh Dahal said. The government has also drafted the Act on right to employment.
With the inception of the programme, employment service centres would open in all 753 local levels and process was initiated to recruit an official on contract basis. The centre would collect data of unemployed and provide opportunity for job through skills and training. RSS
