Kathmandu, May 25 : A trilateral agreement has been signed among federal government, State-3 and local-level government for the effective implementation of ‘Prime Minister Employment Programme’.
The programme is aimed at providing employment opportunities to the jobless youths. At a programme organised here on Friday (May 24), Joint-Secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Dr Bhishma Kumar Bhusal, Officiating Secretary at the Ministry of Social Development of State-3, Dipendra Subedi, and office-bearers of the concerned local levels signed the agreement in the presence of Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Welfare, Gokarna Bista.
On the occasion, Minister Bista said that the programme was brought into operation with an objective of providing employment opportunities to the youths in the country. Recalling the reality that the local people’s representatives have to carry out duties amidst complexities, he suggested the people’s representatives to continue works ensuring happiness to the maximum people.
The Minister added that the federal government would provide special grant next year to the local levels providing maximum employment. A plan was set to provide employment opportunities to tens of thousands of youths within the country in coming year, he added. RSS
