Speaking at the inauguration of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Day Celebration, Global Conclave, and AGM 2024 in Kathmandu, he noted that advancements in technology are aiding the development process. “The necessary infrastructure for development has been created. No district or territory is now remote. If we work together, we can make the country prosperous,” PM Oli asserted.

He urged the NRN community to maintain their positive image and focus on the common good. “The Association should operate independently and impartially; the government is here to assist,” he emphasized. PM Oli reiterated that he serves as the prime minister for the entire nation, not just a political party, and will work towards the country’s prosperity with that mindset.

Reflecting on a discussion with Upendra Mahato regarding the non-resident Nepali campaign in Moscow in 1999, he expressed his commitment to recognizing and providing necessary support to NRNs. The NRN Day is being celebrated with various programs under the theme “Transformation and Unity: Honoured Labour, Investment in Nepal, and Continuity of Citizenship.”
