PPMO blacklists 22 companies for poor performance

The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has blacklisted 22 builders for poor performance. These builders have been blacklisted for periods ranging from one to three years.

Blacklisted companies are prohibited from participating in any procurement processes of public bodies during their blacklisting period.

Among the blacklisted is Lohani & Brothers Pvt Ltd, located in Bharatpur-7, Chitwan. The key individuals of this company, Khopa Nidhi Lohani, Shankar Prasad Lohani, and Lekhnidhi Lohani, face a three-year blacklist. The Road Division Office, Bharatpur recommended this company for blacklisting.

Similarly, JK Builders in Kohalpur-11, Banke, led by Karna Bahadur Khadka, has been blacklisted for three years following a recommendation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law Dhangadhi.

Other companies facing a three-year blacklist include Sharmila Nirman Sewa, headed by Padma Kumari Shahi from Sanni Triveni-8, Kalikot, and Om Gaurishankar Infrastructure Pvt Ltd in Kirtipur, with Min Bahadur Bhandari as the main individual.

Following a recommendation from Road Division Damauli, Devi Raman Construction Company, led by Surendra Raj Rijal, has been blacklisted for two and a half years. Similarly, Khadgadevi Constructs in Bandipur, whose main person is Dil Bahadur Gurung, has been blacklisted for two years.

Additionally, Gajurmukhi Construction Company in Ilam, led by Deepak Gautam; Nawa Nirman Builders Pvt Ltd in Janakpur, led by Raja Bahadur Jha; and SBM Engineering Associates in Kathmandu, led by Swapnil Paudel, have all been blacklisted for two years.
