“We have sent the preliminary report prepared a month ago to the Bureau of Inquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation in France,” said an official of the ministry.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, which is authorized to investigate air accidents, has allocated 60 days after preparing the initial report to collect feedback.

According to the official, the ministry has been giving details along with suggestions to the concerned airline companies to prevent such accidents from happening again.

One person was killed on May 5 last year when a Simrik Air 9N-AZZ helicopter crashed in Bhotkhola-4 of Sankhuwasabha district. Local Babin Gurung died in the accident.

Four people aboard the helicopter were seriously injured in the accident. The helicopter met with the accident at Hammare Danda in Sikprung, Hatiya, Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4, while on its way to deliver necessary construction materials to the Upper Arun Hydropower Project.
