Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has once again hiked the price of petroleum products.
Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the price of petrol to Rs 160 per liter.
Similarly, the price of diesel and kerosene has also reached Rs 143 per liter. The corporation has increased the price of aviation fuel (domestic) by Rs 5 per liter to Rs 156. The price of aviation fuel (international) has been increased by the US $ 50 to 1,545 per kiloliter.
The price of LP gas has also been fixed at 1600 per cylinder. The NOC has stated that the estimated loss for one month after the last price adjustment will be Rs 9.27 billion. The corporation claims to have incurred an average loss of Rs 33 billion so far this year. The price hike has been implemented since last midnight.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the steering committee of the price stabilization fund under the government on Tuesday decided to give Rs 4.20 billion to the corporation to ease the supply system of petroleum products.
