Kathmandu, September 3 : The ongoing prohibitory order in in Kathmandu valley has been extended by one more week in the view of the rising cases of COVID-19. A decision to this effect was taken jointly by the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts on Wednesday (September 2). The two-week prohibitory order that expired yesterday mid-night has been extended till September 9.
The CDOs have also decided that anyone looking to enter the Valley for emergency work must have the coronavirus RT PCR negative report.
Similarly, the time frame for purchasing essential goods has also been extended till 11 am from the previous 9 am. Now, the shops and vehicles related to development works will also be allowed from 2 pm to 9pm.
At the same time, national pride projects and industries related to essential services can also operate by setting up quarantine facilities.
According to the the local administrations in the Valley, the ward committee offices are also required to monitor whether the people whose swabs have been taken for the coronavirus test and those on the list of contact tracing are living in home isolation.
