Rafting service begins in Badigad rivulet

Tamghas, April 17: Rafting has come into operation in Gulmi’s tourism site, Badigad rivulet, in a commercial manner from Tuesday. In a bid to promote tourism, Musikot municipality and Badigad rural municipality in collaboration with Jhakkale Agro Resort Pvt Ltd Musikot have brought commercial rafting service to effect.

Inaugurating the service amidst a programme on Tuesday, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista said the rafting operating in the Badigad rivulet would definitely contribute to the promotion of tourism in the area.

Dhorpatan of Baglung district has become a prime choice of tourists lately, Minister Bista said, adding the tourists coming there could also get attracted to the rafting operational in Badigad rivulet. Somnath Sapkota. Mayor of Musikot, informed the two local governments have jointly operated the rafting service to bring more tourists in the area. A team headed by an entrepreneur Mandhoj Gurung has been mobilized to run the service in the rivulet. Each individual needs to have a ticket of Rs 850 for the service, informed Anish Gaire, manager of the Jhakkale Resort. RSS
