Kathmandu, May 3: There is a possibility of a change in the weather with the occurrence of heavy rain coupled with wind, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, due to the impact of a cyclone stemming from the Bay of Bengal and the Odisha coast in India.
The Division however ruled out any likelihood of the cyclone entering Nepal. There is possibility for the cyclone to enter Odisha coastal area at noon today, but it will become weak in moving towards the North-East, it said.
But its impact will befall the eastern and central part of Nepal with rain ranging from light to heavy and wind today and tomorrow, said meteorologist Bibhuti Pokharel. There is a possibility of snowfall in mountainous areas, prompting the Division to ask the local people and tourists of the areas to stay safe. The weather will become clear from Sunday. RSS
