Kathmandu, November 25 : Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has provided to three companies for making their operations energy- efficient. In a program held on Tuesday (November 24) in the capital, the bank did so under the Energy Efficiency Program run with the grant support from the German Government.
The Premier Organics Pvt Ltd received Rs 5.3 million, the Hulas Steel Industries Rs 3.3 million and the Premier Steels Rs 1.7 million as financial assistance.
Under this Program, 15 to 39 per cent of the grant amount made available by the German Government is used to fund the large, small and medium scale industries and firms of Nepal through the RBB apart from installing energy-efficient machineries and equipment.
The RBB has implemented this Program as per the agreement reached in 2010 between the Government of Nepal and the German Government for efficient energy use and energy saving in the industrial and business sector in Nepal.
