The Inland Revenue Office has reported a 27% increase in revenue collection during the first eight months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period last year.
Despite this growth, the office has only achieved 21.40% of its annual revenue target, with just four months remaining in the fiscal year.
According to Bimal Paudel, the office’s information officer, revenue collection for the period reached Rs 14.46 billion, up from Rs 11.91 billion in the same timeframe last year.
