Nepalgunj, September 22 : The Nepalgunj Customs Office has seen an encouraging uptick in the revenue collection in the first two months of the current fiscal year.
It collected a total of Rs 3.14 billion though the target was set to collect Rs 1.0475 billion. Chief customs officer, Shantiram Niraula, the collection amount of the revenue in the review period exceeded the target by Rs 2.0925 billion i.e 200 percent.
Niraula said the revenue amount has increased with the trend of imports via illegal routes coming to an end due to enforcement of the lockdown to curb the COVID-19 pandemic. –
