The foundational works of the road from Waribeni to Maindanda of Mallaj have been done ahead of the agreed time in collaboration between Jaljala and Gandaki province government.

The two agencies had allocated Rs 10 million each for the improvement of grade and mode, foundational works, drainage and machinery wall construction along the Waribeni-Mallaj road.

Vice-chair of the rural municipality, Deepak Acharya shared that the road construction contract of Rs 11.5 million was awarded to Kalika Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.

Engineer Sunal Baniya shared that 407 meters of surface structure and drainage have been constructed in different places. Various types of walls have also been built for the improvement of road grade and mode.

Contractor Biplab Hamal said the road construction was carried out before the timeline by arranging adequate workers, mobilizing equipment and managing construction materials.

At a time when several development projects have been in limbo due to delay and ignorance, the Waribeni-Mallaj road construction project has set an example.

Travel and transport between Waribeni and Mallaj having a three-kilometer distance has become easier after surface construction works completed in the difficult section, Bhagawan DC of Fatakedhunga.
