Kathmandu, July 16 : The Sajha Yatayat, a public transportation service, is to resume its services from today by adopting necessary precautionary measures against COVID-19.
The public transportation services had come to a halt all over the country after the government had ordered lockdown on March 24. The 26 buses of Sajha Yatayat will ply the roads in Kathmandu Valley in major routes in the first phase.
The public vehicles will carry only 50 per cent passengers of their total capacity, according to Sajha Yatayat’s manager Mahendra Pandey. Similarly, the drivers and assistant drivers ought to wear masks and use sanitizers and maintain social distancing during the operation.
Likewise, the passengers should also comply with the basic safety measures determined by the government to stem the spread of the deadly infection.
