Kathmandu, September 7 : Targeting those underground hunger owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown, the SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneurs Council, Nepal (SCWEC) has been organising “Free Food Distribution Program”.The program has been going on since September 4 in various places in the capital.

“Because of the onset of the coronavirus crisis, especially the poor, disadvantaged people are facing the scarcity of daily meals. In this light, the SCWEC has been providing them with such meals in coordination with some individuals and organisations,” says Neeta Poudel, executive committee member, SCWEC. According to her, hundreds of the people are being fed with hygienic foods on a daily basis.
She also informs that the SWEC is observing the safety protocol regarding the pandemic while organising the program.
