During a meeting with officials of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission at the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, Minister Sharma said that the local level should be encouraged to develop the country by reforming federalism.

“It is not possible to make the local level self-reliant without making it self-reliant,” he said.

He suggested that if there is distortion at the local level, it should be rectified but it should not be shown as bad by always abusing it.

‘There may be some negative things at the local level. But, the local level has done a lot of positive work, ”he said. Who prevented the spread of the infection to the additional population? Were Kovid’s patients only admitted to the big hospitals of the city? Apart from them, there were thousands of patients. It should not be forgotten that the three have been treated at the local level by making maximum use of their resources. ‘

The members including the Chairman of the Commission Balananda Poudel had given a presentation on ‘Intergovernmental Financial Relations’ to help in the preparation of the budget for the coming Fiscal Year 079-80.

The presentation is incomplete and Finance Minister Sharma has instructed to submit suggestions in a more subtle way. He said that the federal system should work without any change in the existing structure and focus on the development of the country.
