Smart license distribution starts from Hetauda in State 3

Hetauda, May 22: Chief Minister of State 3 and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Dormani Poudel, has made a head start for distribution of smart license the service seekers in the state from today.

Initially, 26 drivers from Hetauda, the temporary capital city of State 3, received the smart license from CM Poudel. Among the recipients were former President of Narayani Transportation Association Madhav Adhikari, Hetauda Chamber of Commerce office-bearers Rishiram Ghimire and Suyash Parajuli and Surakshya Poudel among others. On the occasion, CM Poudel said that the state government had accorded a high priority to rendering effective and convenient services to the service seekers by ending the anomalies prevailing the transportation sector.

He shared that homework was being undertaken to distribute smart license to service seekers all 13 districts of the State from Hetauda in an effective manner once it is declared the permanent capital of the province within the six months. Similarly, Chief of Transportation Management Service Poshan Thapa pledged to give continuity to smart card distribution and the process was undertaken to provide the smart license to the service seekers within two months.

Receiving the smart license, Madhav Adhikari urged the state government to consider a review on the tax rate imposed on the service seekers by the transportation sector. He, along with other service seekers, called for the transparent and impartial distribution of such license to the service seekers and to give continuity to the renewal of vehicles.
