MoPIT Secretary Sigdel presented new ideas in the ‘Infrastructure Marketplace’ session on the second day of the Nepal Infrastructure Summit and asked new startups to come up with ideas for transportation management.

On the second day of the summit, organised by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport (MoPIT) and Confederation of Nepalese Industry (CNI), Secretary Sigdel said the ministry was willing to invest in the new startups’ good ideas with complete solutions,” he said.

He said it will be discussed how the government can benefit from the ideas of startups. He opined that the programme of awarding youths who put forward ideas is good and added that such programmes will help to create new ideas in the market.

In the session, out of 10 selected from 50 applications, five people who were selected in the best five categories presented their ideas.
Of the five ideas shared, one was on house building, two on traffic management and two on harvest.

Suman Raj Bharti shared the idea of gharbanau.com. Building a house is no longer a hassle. There is no fear of being cheated while buying goods. Everything from the process required to build a house is available in the online market, said Bharati.

Bharati claimed that his products are good as there have been no complaints from customers.

Josep Shrestha shared the idea of Highway and Adaptive Traffic Management Control System. According to his idea, the vehicle could be monitored through the device. The judges inquired about its use and after the service.
