May 21 : Third person in the country has died of COVID-19 this morning.
According to media reports, a male patient aged 41 from Madane Rural Municipality-6, Purkot, Gulmi lost his life Thursday morning while undergoing treatment in the Manigram-based Crimson Hospital.
He was confirmed to have tested positive for coronavirus on Monday by a Bhairahawa-based provincial lab.
Prior to this, a female aged 29 from Sindhupalchowk district and a 25 years old male from Banke district had died of the deadly disease on May 16 and 17 respectively.
It may be noted that the total number of cases related to the very disease has so far reached 444 in the country, with the detection of 17 more such cases yesterday.
Among the newly infected, 15 males with their ages ranging from 18 to 46 are from Jhapa district and two females aged 34 and 51 respectively belong to the Sunsari district.
