Kathmandu, April 12 : Three more persons have tested positive for coronavirus in the country. The COVID-19 was confirmed on three persons, who are in isolation wards of the Birgunj-based Narayani Hospital. With this, the total infected case in the country reached 12.
In a regular press meet organised at the Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday, Ministry Spokesperson Dr Bikas Devkota shared that the coronavirus infection was confirmed on Saturday during the test at National Laboratory. They were kept in isolation wards of Narayani Hospial as the suspected case of coronavirus, said Dr Devkota. “Their health condition is normal. Contact tracing of relatives and others who came in contact with the coronavirus infected ones has already been initiated,” Ministry’s spokesperson Dr Devkota said. The Ministry has urged all people to fully abide by the lockdown order at a time when the number of COVID-19 infected people is rising in the country.
The Ministry carried out tests of 5,184 people through PCR technology so far and 795 people underwent test for coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Likewise, 85 people are now in isolation across the nation and 7,973 people have been kept under quarantine. A total of 3,321 people underwent rapid tests and 206 people are in red zone so far, he said. RSS
