May 6 : Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai held an interaction with the lawmakers of the opposition parties in the federal parliament. He held the discussion to take suggestions for the upcoming national budget of fiscal year 2077/78 BS.
The lawmakers of Nepali Congress, Nepal Workers and Peasants Party and Rastriya Janamorcha advised Minister Bhattarai to come up with effective plans and programs in the budget particularly to revive the Nepali tourism industry hit hardest the COVID-19 pandemic.
NC’s leader Devendra Raj Kandel said that the government should be serious to support the ailing industry as it is a mainstay of the national economy. Similarly, the lawmakers of NWPP and Janamorcha, Prem Suwal Durga Poudel respectively also suggested for chalking out smart strategies to address the genuine concerns of the tourism employees.
