Tourists invited to street food festivals

Rupandehi, December 19: Tourism entrepreneurs based in Lumbini have invited visitors from home and abroad to the Street Food Festival commencing here on the eve of the English New Year 2019.
The people concerned here are busy in organizing regular meeting and gatherings to make the festival mood vibrant and attract more and more tourists to the event scheduled to be held at Lumbini Bazar. The Siddhartha Hotel Association, Lumbini chapter is the organiser.
It is taking place with the theme of ‘Visit Lumbini, Enjoy Food in the Street’ from coming December 31. As said by chapter president Mithunman Shrestha, visitors can enjoy taste of Nepali cuisine as well as Indian, Thai and Chinese food.
The organisers believe that such type of event would encourage the people’s participation and arrival of tourists. The festival will have over 70 stalls. Besides, Biraha cultural dance, exhibition of local culture and their life and other cultural events are the parts of the festival.
Pokhara also hosting street food festival
The same kind of food fair is taking place in Pokhara from December 28 – January 1.
The Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) organised a press meet at Manigram of Rupandehi, inviting the Rupandehi folks to the event.
The festival will be organised at Lakeside, the touristic hub in Pokhara, REBAN president Budhraj Bhujel said. The festival aims to promote the tourism of Pokhara and the domestic tourism as well. RSS
