Applications called for “Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero 2019”

Kathmandu, May 5: Glocal Khabar has called applications from the teenagers interested to take part in the 5th edition of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero Award ceremony 2019. The very award title aims to honour the teenagers who are doing something beyond their academics and are active to create impacts in society.

The prime motive for this year is to reach the teenagers nationwide to provide them the platform, for which the Glocal team accompanied by Glocal Teen Hero Alumni Members will be going to various 38 cities-Bhadrapur, Kakarvitta, Damak, Surunga, Birtamode, Fikkal, Illam, Dhankuta, Dharan, Itahari, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Lahan, Mirchaiya, Gaighat, Chitwan, Hetauda, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Butwal, Parasi, Sunwal, Tansen, Taulihawa, Dhangadi, Mahendranagar, Birendranagar, Tulsipur, Gorahi, Nepalgunj. Gorkha, Damauli, Kusma, Syanja, Pokhara, Dhulikhel, Sindhupalchowk, Dhading- apart from the Kathmandu Valley. The organisers plan to reach around 600 schools across Nepal and interacting to over 80,000 students of class 8-12 directly.

This year, Glocal has partnered with Wai Wai as a title sponsor, UNDP and EU as a strategic partner; Coca-Cola, Honda, Panchakanya Group, Toyota- VOITH as a partner. Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza is the initiative partner for the event where Nepal SBI Bank is the Bank Partner. The initiation has also been promoted by Nepal Tourism Board, Embassy of India and is in support of Sustainable Development Goals with the slogan “Teens for Sustainable Development Goals”. Turkish Airlines and Yeti Airlines is the airlines partner. Sparrow is the SMS partner and Cozy Home BnB is the hospitality partner. Prisma Advertising is the PR Partner. e-Sewa, AYON, YUWA, Wordlink, Facts Nepal, NYC and QFX are the supporters for the program.

Application for the Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero this year opens on 4 May. The application is free and can be filled online at www.nepal.glocalteenhero.com. The deadline for the application is July 31, 2019.
