Biratnagar, April 20: Minister for Finance Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada has stated that the government is ready to facilitate industrialists, investors and companies s in big projects in the country.
Minister Dr Khatiwada said this during an interaction organized by Morang Trade Association on budget and revenue policy for fiscal year 2076/77 BS. He added that if the deposit is increased in the bank, interest rates would be decreased. State-1 was the door for economic prosperity of the country where the Biratnagar-Kimanthangka border point could help on it. Similarly, the Minister informed that the government was preparing to formulate new laws aiming to ban the arbitrary import of cheap goods like milk powder, ghee and sugar.
He further committed to boosting the national economy by boosting domestic industries. He also urged the people to have the patience for some time because the good result would appear in the economy with the enforcement of short-term, mid-term and long term policies. On the occasion, Biratnagar Metropolitan City’s Mayor Bhim Parajuli urged the Minister to work together with local governments.
