Khaptad, November 17 : With the snowfall taking place in Khaptad, the number of domestic tourists visiting it has increased. The area, which is the main tourism site of the Sudurpaschim Province- witnessed the snowfall continually from Sunday evening (November 15) to Monday afternoon (November 16).
“The ridges of Khaptad are covered with half a foot snow and look truly panoramic. As such, many people are coming here to take joy in the scenic beauties, said General Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Khaptad Jhigrana Homestay operator Deepak Bahadur Khadka.
The accumulated snow will not be melt away till December 30, so the tourists can continuously visit here for fun , according to the Khaptad National Park Office.
The local administration has banned the visits and mobility of people in this are an unregulated manner due to fear of the coronavirus outbreak. However, there is a gradual rise in the inflow of domestic tourists here from various parts of the country. RSS
