Kathmandu, August 9 :A total of 378 new cases of COVID-19 has been reported in the country on Saturday (August 8). In a regular press briefing, Spokesperson of Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Jageshwar Gautam shared these cases were confirmed while conducting PCR test on 7,778 samples in different laboratories across the country.
Similarly, three persons died of COVID-19 yesterday in the country. With this, a total number of death toll from COVID-19 has reached 73 as of today. Dr Gautam added 10,792 people are in quarantines across the country. According to the Ministry, 449 returned home after complete recovery from the hospitals on Saturday. With this, total number of people returning home after recovery today has reached 16, 313. It may be noted that Khotang, Dhankuta, Sankhuwasabha, Manang, Mustang, Dolpa and Humla districts have reported no single case of deadly coronavirus.
